Private Wealth Adviser – Melbourne

About the role

The Private Wealth Adviser supports senior advisers in managing high‑net‑worth client relationships for ANZ Private. You will deliver compliant retail financial advice, assist with wholesale advice, and help execute investment transactions for self‑directed clients. The role may also hold primary responsibility for selected retail clients and contribute to momentum activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support Senior Private Wealth Advisers in managing client relationships and delivering advice.
• Provide high‑quality retail financial advice aligned with clients' values, goals and financial position.
• Oversee and approve implementation of client advice and instructions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with advice team members, including paraplanners and advice assistants.
• Engage regularly with referral partners such as private bankers and business bankers.
• Comply with the Corporations Act, ASIC regulatory requirements, Adviser Code of Ethics and other legal obligations.
• Resolve client complaints or escalate them according to policy and record them appropriately.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Corporations Act and ASIC regulatory framework.
• Ability to deliver compliant financial advice and adhere to ANZ Private Bank policies.
• Strong client‑service orientation with experience handling high‑net‑worth relationships.
• Effective teamwork skills to work with senior advisers, paraplanners and referral partners.
