Principal Solution Architect

About the role

As a Principal Solution Architect at IAG you will lead architecture for strategic retail technology programs, focusing on application, integration and data solutions that align with enterprise direction while being delivery‑focused.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for priority retail technology initiatives across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
• Design scalable, secure and supportable solutions that follow enterprise architecture principles.
• Partner with delivery and engineering teams to shape solution options and provide architectural direction.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, governance forums and key design decisions.
• Identify and manage architecture, integration, security and technology risks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering complex enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong expertise in designing application, integration and data solutions, including APIs and event‑driven integration.
• Proven ability to align technology solutions with business objectives and enterprise strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across technical and business audiences.

Required skills

• Solution architecture for complex application, integration and data landscapes.
• Design of scalable, secure and resilient solutions using cloud and digital platforms.
• Understanding of modern delivery practices such as Agile, cloud‑native and API‑first architectures.
