Principal / Senior Project Architect

About the role

The client seeks a Principal / Senior Project Architect to lead and expand their Seniors Living portfolio in Brisbane. The role blends business development with end‑to‑end project delivery, requiring both strategic vision and hands‑on design leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Identify market trends, secure new projects and develop bids, EOIs and pitch presentations for the Residential Aged Care sector.
• Manage daily project operations, coordinate consultants, control timelines and budgets, and ensure design quality from concept through completion.
• Mentor junior staff, act as a brand ambassador at industry events and maintain relationships with developers, operators and consultants.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience with a proven track record in Residential Aged Care; architectural registration in Australia preferred.
• Strong industry network, client‑facing confidence and demonstrated success in winning bids.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative approach and excellent presentation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) for pitch materials.
• Deep knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards.
