About the role
Oakleigh State School is seeking an experienced and visionary Principal (Level 5) to lead the school community on a temporary full‑time basis. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality educational outcomes, fostering an inclusive culture, and guiding strategic change.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the school in developing and committing to a shared educational vision focused on high‑quality student outcomes.
- Model ethical, values‑based leadership and embed socially just practices across school life.
- Set and maintain high expectations for student and staff performance.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Apply strategic, future‑focused thinking to school leadership and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and education policy.
- Manage resources effectively to achieve school goals.
Required profile
- Strategic, values‑driven leader with a proven track record in school leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgement.
- Ability to lead complex organisational change and foster a positive, inclusive culture.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Relevant mandatory qualifications and registration for a principal role in Queensland.
