Principal – Grange Primary School

About the role

The Principal provides visionary leadership for Grange Primary School, guiding the school community to achieve high standards of teaching, learning and wellbeing. This senior role is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the school over a ten‑year tenure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the school’s educational vision and strategic plan.
• Oversee curriculum delivery, assessment practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage staff recruitment, professional development, performance appraisal and wellbeing.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment for students and families.
• Collaborate with the Western Adelaide Shores partnership, community stakeholders and education authorities.
• Ensure compliance with the SA School and Preschool Education Staff Enterprise Agreement and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with current registration and extensive experience in primary education.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a school setting, preferably at senior or principal level.
• Strong understanding of curriculum frameworks, assessment and student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to lead change, manage resources and drive continuous improvement.
