About the role
Onterris is seeking a Principal Environmental Scientist to join its Assessment and Approvals team in Brisbane. The role involves leading environmental consulting projects, developing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Perform business development by acquiring new clients.
- Lead external meetings and presentations with clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and review quality management systems.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
Required profile
- 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related field.
- In‑depth knowledge of environmental approvals and impact assessments for the Queensland resources sector.
Required skills
- Proven experience with Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), PRCP and EA approvals.
- Strong understanding of environmental impact assessments and regulatory processes.
