Principal Contaminated Land Scientist – Brisbane Relocation

About the role

Onterris is seeking a Principal Contaminated Land Scientist to join its Brisbane office. This senior position will lead complex contaminated land and water projects while supporting the company’s mission of environmental responsibility and progress.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Project Director on highly complex contaminated land and water projects.
• Provide technical support to associates and seniors during client meetings.
• Develop and review quality management systems and sign off complex reports and deliverables.
• Train junior staff in business development and client‑management processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in contaminated land and water within an environmental consultancy.
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Management or a related field.
• Understanding of Queensland and national environmental frameworks.

Required skills

• Industry certification such as CEnvP or CPSS (or willingness to obtain).
• Demonstrated expertise in contaminated land and water assessment and remediation.
