About the role

Camooweal State School is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for Year 3‑6 classes in a small, remote community near the NT border. You will join a supportive team that values cultural connection and individual student success, especially for the majority Indigenous student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the Australian Curriculum for Year 3‑6 across multi‑age classes.
• Foster an inclusive, values‑driven learning environment.
• Support the academic and personal development of Indigenous students.
• Collaborate with teaching and non‑teaching staff to celebrate achievement and improvement.
• Participate in school community activities and cultural programs.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification.
• Full or provisional Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
• Australian working rights or a valid visa.
• Pre‑service or graduate teachers are encouraged to apply, providing practicum reports, mentor statements and unofficial transcripts.
