About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join Oatlands District High School. You will implement and manage learning programs for primary students and assess individual progress in a supportive, student‑centred environment. The role starts on 27 July 2026 and is ongoing.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and evaluate curriculum programmes for primary students.
  • Assess and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging, caring learning experiences.
  • Uphold the Department for Education’s values and child‑safety standards.
  • Contribute to the school’s goal of building resilient, well‑informed young people.

Required profile

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with Employment status.
  • Full teacher registration under the Teachers Registration Act 2000 (or provisional/limited authority where applicable).
  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board (Tasmania).
  • Employment under the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award.
  • Desirable: four years or more of teacher training as defined in the award.
