Primary Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our vibrant Christian community at Bairnsdale Christian College. This full-time position begins in January 2027 and offers the chance to teach and support students from Prep to Year 6 within a biblical worldview.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the primary curriculum in line with Australian educational standards.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that reflects Christian values.
• Collaborate with parents, staff and the wider school community to support each child’s academic and personal growth.
• Implement and uphold the college’s Child Safety & Wellbeing policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and extra-curricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified primary teacher with current registration.
• Commitment to a Christian ethos and ability to integrate biblical perspectives into teaching.
• Strong relational skills and a passion for inspiring young learners.
• Willingness to work with diverse student groups, including Aboriginal, LGBTIQ+, and students with disabilities.
