Primary School Teacher (K-6)

About the role

Woodvale Primary School is building a pool of qualified primary teachers for the 2027 school year. The role involves delivering the curriculum to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, fostering a supportive learning environment and contributing to the school’s instructional framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver evidence‑based lessons across the K‑6 curriculum.
• Assess student progress using data and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement the whole‑school instructional framework aligned with the Department of Education’s Teaching for Impact initiative.
• Participate in professional learning, self‑reflection and feedback cycles to continuously improve practice.
• Support the wellbeing and development of students, promoting the school values of Respect, Integrity, Determination, Responsibility and Kindness.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Commitment to high expectations and student‑focused outcomes.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team and using student data to inform instruction.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school‑wide improvement processes.
