Pricing Lead

About the role

Nine, Australia's largest locally owned media company, is looking for a Pricing Lead to join its Publishing division. This newly created role reports to the Head of Operations and Strategic Projects and leads pricing strategies, subscriber propositions and portfolio profitability across Nine's subscription channels, helping shape the commercial direction and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategy for subscription pricing and entitlements to drive Nine's digital transformation.
• Own and improve commercial pricing analytics to guide key executive decisions.
• Build, maintain and refine analytical and pricing models.
• Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to assess impacts on pricing, volume and margin.
• Design, evaluate and learn from pricing experiments using data-driven lookback analysis.
• Turn complex data into clear pricing insights with senior stakeholders.
• Support business cases, investment decisions and commercial proposals for senior leaders.

Required profile

• Proven background in pricing or commercial analytics within media, subscription, finance or top-tier consulting.
• Ability to turn complex financial and technical data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder influence.
• Problem-solving ability and track record of delivering quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated independence and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Right to work and live in Australia.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling skills with experience managing complex datasets.
• Pricing analytics and data-driven pricing experiments.
