Portable Fire Technician

About the role

Wormald, one of Australia's largest fire protection companies, is looking for a Portable Fire Technician to join its Victorian team in Bendigo. The technician serves the company's client base in Bendigo and the surrounding region, servicing fire equipment to Australian Standards and selling fire equipment products across a range of industries. Fire industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair portable fire protection equipment to Australian Standards
• Carry out routine testing of fire protection equipment in accordance with Australian Standards
• Liaise with customers and promote a professional, friendly relationship
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety requirements
• Complete service records using smart device technology

Required profile

• Ideally fire industry experience; current driver's licence
• Strong focus on workplace safety
• Excellent customer service and time management
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and good personal presentation
• Willingness to multi-skill into other areas of fire protection
• Availability for a callout roster and occasional travel to regional areas
