About the role

Join Woolworths E2E Meat as a Planning & Procurement Assistant and gain end‑to‑end exposure across the integrated agricultural value chain. This permanent, hybrid position offers a fast‑track developmental opportunity to build commercial and operational expertise in red‑meat supply networks.

Key responsibilities

• Review manufacturing schedules and provide planning inputs to keep the national supply network running smoothly.
• Coordinate carcass breakdowns and raw‑material sequencing across primary processing sites for beef, pork and lamb.
• Generate accurate production orders and proactively identify volume gaps, working with sourcing specialists to secure additional supply.
• Analyse forward inventory, flag risks and opportunities, and support contract flexibility to maximise value.
• Evaluate market dynamics, prepare purchasing business cases and issue purchase orders to external suppliers and processors.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in supply chain, planning or procurement support, preferably in food, FMCG or agribusiness.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing stock positions and flagging potential shortages.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adopt new operational software quickly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with procurement tasks such as raising purchase orders and monitoring deliveries.
• Familiarity with operational platforms like Quintiq and Foods Connected.
