PHP Analyst Programmer – ICT

About the role
The University of Sydney’s ICT team is looking for an Analyst Programmer specialised in PHP to design, develop and maintain web applications that support teaching, research and administrative services. You will join a collaborative environment that spans legacy systems and modern cloud‑based products, delivering reliable digital services to a large university community.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new features and functionality for a diverse portfolio of web applications.
- Maintain, enhance and troubleshoot existing PHP applications.
- Participate in estimation, planning, testing and deployment activities.
- Provide production support and technical advice to end‑users.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to design documentation and technical records.
Required profile
- Proven experience developing and supporting PHP applications.
- Ability to work across the full stack, handling both front‑end and back‑end tasks.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork in a supportive environment.
