About the role
The scholarship supports a full‑time PhD candidate to conduct fundamental research in machine vision, focusing on deep visual understanding of natural objects and environments. The role is based at Griffith University's Nathan campus and involves collaboration with industry partners and international researchers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop novel deep‑learning methods for representation learning, vision‑language reasoning, and fine‑grained visual categorisation.
- Publish high‑quality research papers in leading computer‑vision and machine‑learning conferences and journals.
Required profile
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and mathematical skills.
- Demonstrated passion for computer vision and image processing, with prior experience in deep learning or multimodal AI preferred.
