Pharmacy Dispensary Technician

About the role

Slade Pharmacy Kings Meadows, a community retail pharmacy in Launceston, Tasmania, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Dispensary Technician for a permanent full-time position of approximately 76 hours per fortnight. The role suits experienced pharmacy technicians with dispensing experience in a community, retail or hospital pharmacy, and training and support are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Order, receive, unpack and maintain dispensary stock, and contribute to stocktakes
• Manage inventory and support day-to-day dispensary operations
• Answer customer enquiries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Support patients, healthcare providers and customers, and help improve pharmacy workflow

Required profile

• Permanent Australian working rights
• Previous experience in an Australian or New Zealand pharmacy dispensary is highly regarded
• Organised, customer-focused and able to work collaboratively in a team
• Full-time availability
• Openness to change, strong organisational, communication and teamwork skills, and exceptional customer service
