Pharmacist – FIFO Locum for Australian Defence Force

About the role

Serco is seeking qualified pharmacists to join a FIFO locum programme delivering clinical pharmacy services to Australian Defence Force health centres across the country. You will work on‑site at a range of Defence Health Centre locations, providing essential medication management for service personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medicines in accordance with Australian pharmacy law and Defence policies.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stock control and expiry monitoring.
• Promote safe and effective medication use through patient counselling and education.
• Provide technical advice and training to other health practitioners on medication handling.
• Maintain accurate pharmaceutical records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with current practising licence in Australia.
• Attention to detail and ability to work methodically in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Willingness to travel to remote on‑base locations on a FIFO schedule.
• Strong communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary health teams.
