People Services Coordinator

About the role

Ventia is looking for a People Services Coordinator to join its People Services team. You will support the full employee lifecycle across Australia and New Zealand, from onboarding to contract generation and compliance, in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the employee lifecycle and onboarding of new staff across Australia and New Zealand.
• Assist with People & Capability projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in a rotating customer‑service hotline, providing timely assistance to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure right‑to‑work documentation compliance and maintain employee files for both countries.
• Coordinate pre‑employment checks, including medical bookings and police checks.
• Maintain accurate employee records in line with data‑management procedures.
• Prepare employment contracts and Change of Conditions letters using relevant Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
• Collaborate with hiring managers, P&C Business Partners, payroll, recruitment and operational teams to meet project and contract requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a human‑resources, admin or compliance role, preferably in a high‑volume, transactional setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt within a complex setting with multiple stakeholders.
