People & Organisation Generalist – Retail (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Chanel is seeking a People & Organisation Generalist to support its retail network across Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewellery, and Fragrance & Beauty boutiques. The role is the first point of contact for retail teams, providing HR guidance and ensuring a high‑performing, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to retail leaders on employee relations, performance management and grievance handling.
• Conduct or support workplace investigations and ensure compliance with Chanel policies.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and respond to queries from retail staff.
• Partner with Human Resource Business Partners to anticipate needs and mitigate risk.
• Promote a collaborative culture and support leaders in developing people management capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across multiple sites.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to balance operational tasks with strategic partnership.

Required skills

• Knowledge of employee relations processes, performance management, and grievance procedures.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
