People & Culture Manager – Operational Workforce

About the role

We are seeking a People & Culture Manager to lead the HR function for a 250‑person operational workforce at a family‑owned motor vehicle manufacturer in Emu Plains, Western Sydney. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner with senior leaders and be visible on the production floor, driving a business transformation and capability uplift.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the People & Culture strategy aligned with business growth and operational transformation.
• Partner with the CEO and Operations leadership to lift capability across supervisors and frontline leaders.
• Strengthen recruitment, onboarding, retention and employee‑relations processes.
• Embed structure, accountability and discipline across people processes.
• Lead and develop a People & Culture team of two direct reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a People & Culture / HR management role.
• Degree in HR, Business or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in blue‑collar or operational environments such as manufacturing, logistics or construction.
• Proven track record of leading organisational transformation or change initiatives.
• Strong employee‑relations capability and ability to partner with operational leaders.
• Strategic mindset combined with a practical, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves approach.
