People & Culture Advisor

About the role

The People & Culture Advisor will provide end‑to‑end HR support across CPB’s Queensland project portfolio, covering building, civil construction, infrastructure and other project‑based operations. Based in Brisbane, the role involves regular travel to regional sites to partner with leaders, employees and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR guidance to leaders and employees across multiple project sites.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, mobilisation, transfers and demobilisation.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives.
• Advise on performance management, conduct, grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Partner on employee and industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements.
• Coordinate learning and development programs and conduct regular site visits.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a generalist P&C advisory role.
• Experience supporting blue‑collar, trade‑based or project workforces in construction, civil, infrastructure, engineering or mining.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations.
• Experience managing performance, disciplinary actions and workplace investigations.
• Exposure to workforce mobilisation and demobilisation processes.
