People Business Partner

About the role

The People Business Partner will deliver end‑to‑end HR and employee‑relations advice to leaders and employees across allocated divisions. You will partner closely with executives, senior leaders and other stakeholders while contributing to broader people initiatives and collaborating with the People & Capability team to provide high‑quality HR solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor people leaders on performance management, recruitment, talent management, succession planning, remuneration and role design.
• Provide industrial and employee‑relations advice, including handling performance issues, investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions, terminations and redundancies.
• Conduct and support complex workplace investigations as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law, modern awards and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance and manage risk.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HR Advisory, HR Administration, Learning and Organisational Development to resolve HR matters.
• Promote a high‑performance, values‑based culture across the organisation.
• Analyse people trends and metrics to inform solutions, programs and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial/Employee Relations.
• Corporate experience providing HR and employee‑relations advice and business partnering.
• Understanding of federal and state employment legislation.
• Strong knowledge of workplace investigations.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold organisational values with discretion and confidentiality.
• Proven capability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder interaction and relationship‑building skills.
