People and Culture Manager - Renewable Energy

About the role

You will build and lead the HR function for a global renewable energy business in Australia, shaping the people strategy and owning the full employee life‑cycle from talent acquisition to retention. The role combines strategic partnership with senior leadership and hands‑on implementation, including payroll oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and embed HR processes, structures and frameworks from inception to support rapid growth.
• Partner closely with senior leadership to drive business performance through people strategy and workforce planning.
• Own the complete employee life‑cycle, including talent acquisition, development, engagement and retention.
• Ensure operational excellence across HR administration, compliance, governance and payroll delivery.
• Lead culture, engagement and workforce planning initiatives during a period of rapid expansion.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating and building an HR function from the ground up within a growing or international business.
• Track record as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, able to switch between strategy and execution.
• Deep knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Previous experience overseeing payroll processes, either directly or via an outsourced provider.
