People and Culture Manager

About the role

Join Askable’s People & Culture function to build and shape the people experience for a high‑performing global team. You will create HR frameworks, ensure compliance with Australian employment law, and support leaders in managing their people.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR governance, compliance and complex employment queries.
• Manage visa and work‑right processes, including sponsorship applications and renewals.
• Design and maintain end‑to‑end employee processes from onboarding through offboarding.
• Enhance HR systems (DEEL) and develop useful reporting for the organisation.
• Equip leaders with tools and frameworks to identify and develop talent.
• Monitor and promote company culture globally through initiatives that reflect Askable’s values.

Required profile

• Proven experience building HR policies, processes and documentation from the ground up.
• Deep knowledge of Australian employment law (Fair Work, awards, WHS, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and trusted by colleagues.
• Ability to work independently without an existing HR team.
• Bonus: exposure to UK or US employment law and advanced use of DEEL or similar HRIS.

• DEEL (or comparable HRIS) configuration and reporting.
