Penetration Tester (Contract) – Melbourne

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to join our Melbourne team on a 6‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role involves performing comprehensive security assessments on web applications, networks and systems to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing engagements across web, network and host environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and produce detailed findings.
• Develop clear, actionable remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security improvements.
• Document test results and produce professional reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian or New Zealand citizen/PR).
• Understanding of information security policies, network protocols and industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Metasploit and other ethical‑hacking frameworks.
• Experience in testing web applications, network infrastructures and computer systems.
• Ability to assess identified vulnerabilities and propose remediation strategies.
