Payroll Solutions Partner ANZ

About the role

AstraZeneca is looking for an experienced payroll practitioner to act as Payroll Solutions Partner for ANZ, based at its Head Office in North Ryde. You will bring local payroll expertise and work across the HR Services network to deliver a seamless, high-quality payroll experience for employees, partnering with overseas payroll teams and local staff. The role combines project management expertise with a human-centred approach, with hybrid working (3 days in the office) and a maximum 2-year fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with overseas payroll teams and local employees to manage payroll queries quickly and efficiently, with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide trusted ANZ payroll expertise so employees and stakeholders receive accurate, clear and practical support.
• Build strong partnerships with ADP, HR, Finance and global service teams.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working and enhance the employee experience.
• Contribute to HR Services projects, system enhancements and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll operations, legislation and statutory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Workday, ADP Payroll solutions and SAP leave and payroll.
• Strong analytical capability and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach across HR, Finance, vendors and business teams.
• Strong ownership and accountability, able to drive projects and system enhancements through to resolution.
