About the role
UHI Perth is seeking a part‑time ESOL Lecturer to join its permanent teaching team. The role is 24.5 hours per week (0.7 FTE) and involves delivering English for Speakers of Other Languages programmes to local migrants and overseas students.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver ESOL courses, including SQA units, Cambridge exam preparation, Academic English and bespoke modules for commercial clients.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to develop curriculum and share best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the ESOL programme.
Required profile
- Qualified and enthusiastic with experience teaching a range of ages, nationalities and proficiency levels.
- Hold a Trinity Certificate in TESOL or a Cambridge CELTA.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Required skills
- ESOL instruction and curriculum development.
