Partner Director, ANZ

About the role

OpenAI is looking for a Partner Director to own the end‑to‑end partner lifecycle in Australia. Reporting to the APAC Partnerships Lead in Singapore, you will be based in Sydney and work in a hybrid model (three days in the office per week). You will activate, manage and grow strategic partner relationships from contract signing through to commercial execution.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for all signed services partners in Australia, driving enablement, solutioning and go‑to‑market execution.
• Lead onboarding across sales training, technical enablement, security, provisioning and support operations.
• Ensure partner readiness to deploy and resell OpenAI solutions through joint project plans, milestone tracking and quarterly business reviews.
• Collaborate with partners to co‑develop solutions, define use cases, create demo assets and localise technical documentation.
• Monitor partner performance, flag risks early and implement remediation or acceleration plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Solution Engineering, Enablement, Operations, Customer Success, Marketing) to meet partner needs and maintain alignment.
• Establish operational rhythms such as roadmap briefings, asset distribution and sales enablement refreshes.
• Maintain compliance with partnership agreements, commercial terms and reporting cadences.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in alliances, partner success or enterprise software sales.
• Deep experience in partner onboarding and activation, preferably with hyperscale cloud or enterprise SaaS vendors.
• Strong program‑management skills with the ability to track multiple workstreams and hold cross‑functional stakeholders accountable.
• Familiarity with the Australian enterprise ecosystem and ability to manage relationships across local and global partner teams.
• Experience working in early‑stage, high‑growth environments where partner programs are being built.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting and influence without authority.
• Native‑level fluency in English.
