Part-Time Registered Nurse - Kirrawee

About the role

IRT Kirrawee, a residential care home within IRT's aged care services, is looking for a passionate clinician to join its team as a part-time Registered Nurse. The nurse helps care for residents' health and overall quality of life through personalised clinical care and an empathetic approach. The position works Friday morning shifts as bench strength, with the option to take on extra shifts across Kirrawee and Sans Souci Gardens.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to residents
• Manage and supervise care workers
• Undertake client assessments
• Monitor clients' care needs and evaluate care plans
• Provide treatment as required

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
• Experience working as a Registered Nurse in a residential care home environment
• Knowledge of clinical issues of ageing, including dementia-related disorders and management of challenging behaviours
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy and a passion for supporting older Australians
