Part-Time Nanny - Curtin, ACT

About the role

A warm and welcoming family in Curtin, ACT is seeking an experienced, organised and nurturing nanny to look after its three children while Mum returns to work. The role is part-time, 2-3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm), starting in December at the latest and running long term; the family wants flexibility and may increase to more than three days as needs change.

Key responsibilities

• Care for the twins and/or the eldest child, occasionally all three independently
• Prepare meals for the older child, aware of egg and sesame allergies, and feed the twins
• Help settle the twins for naps, including contact naps, and support bath time
• Plan age-appropriate play and developmental activities
• Maintain the children's routines and create a calm, safe environment
• Communicate openly with the parents about routines and wellbeing
• Light household duties: children's laundry, tidying bedrooms and play areas, general cleaning and organisation

Required profile

• Childcare qualifications are essential
• 3+ years of professional experience caring for children as a nanny or in a childcare setting
• Experience with twins and/or three or more young children is highly desirable
• Working With Children Check, current First Aid and CPR certificate, excellent references
• Kind, patient, punctual, non-smoking and receptive to feedback

What we offer

• Pay from $35-$45 per hour depending on experience
• Flexible start date, with a requirement to start by December at the latest
• Long-term contract with potential to increase to more than three days per week
