Part-Time Nanny - Cornubia, QLD

About the role

A family in Cornubia, Queensland is looking for a kind, patient and experienced nanny to care for their 3-year-old son for four afternoons per week. The older child is autistic and has additional support needs, which the mother will generally support herself; the nanny is not expected to provide sole care. The start date is ASAP and flexible, on a 12-month or longer contract.

Key responsibilities

• Collect the 3-year-old from daycare each afternoon and drive him home (about 7 minutes)
• Prepare simple family dinners and put on and fold laundry as required
• Engage the child in age-appropriate play and support his afternoon routine, including bath time
• Occasionally supervise both children briefly while the mother attends to household tasks
• Maintain open and honest communication with the mother

Required profile

• Childcare qualification
• 3+ years of professional nanny or childcare experience
• Experience with children with additional needs highly regarded
• Working With Children Check, current First Aid and CPR certification, excellent references
• Full driver's licence and own reliable vehicle

What we offer

• Pay from $40 per hour, with additional reimbursement for kilometres and petrol
• Flexible schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 2.30pm to 5.30pm, with more hours available on Mondays
