Part-Time Dental Assistant

About the role

Bupa's Mount Lawley Dental clinic is looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes. The role involves assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining infection control standards and keeping treatment rooms clean and ready for patients. The position is 71.5 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures and chair-side tasks
• Maintain infection control standards
• Ensure equipment is properly sterilised
• Keep treatment rooms clean, organised and ready for patient care

Required profile

• Experience in a dental sterilisation area or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting is highly regarded; candidates with a genuine passion for dental assisting are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, patient-focused approach
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice and contribute to a supportive team culture

Required skills

• Chair-side assistance: instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays and sound knowledge of dental instrumentation
• Strong understanding of infection control, cleaning and maintaining rooms, instruments and equipment in line with BDC procedures and WHS requirements
