Part-Time Dental Assistant

About the role

Maven Dental Yokine, a practice on Flinders Street offering general, restorative and implant dentistry and Invisalign, is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant for a part-time chairside role starting as soon as possible. The position suits someone who works quickly and confidently, enjoys surgical work and thrives in a busy surgery. Previous dental assisting experience is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the clinician during a variety of dental procedures
• Clean, sterilize and organize dental instruments according to infection control protocols
• Ensure sterilization and disinfection meet industry regulations and standards
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials
• Provide personalized patient care and support
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or higher (highly regarded)
• Ability to work at a fast pace and stay organized
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
• Calm, reassuring manner with nervous patients and clear, professional communication

Required skills

• Confidence using dental practice management software
