Part-Time Barista

About the role

The Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Convention Centre, part of the Accor network, is looking for a passionate and energetic Barista to join its Food & Beverage team on a casual, part-time basis. You will craft quality coffee and beverages and deliver friendly, engaging service across resort outlets, including Sola Restaurant, Deli Café & Market and the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality coffee, specialty beverages and refreshments
• Deliver friendly, efficient and personalised service to guests
• Multitask across coffee preparation, customer service and other service needs
• Keep coffee stations, equipment and service areas clean, organised and well presented
• Assist with stock replenishment and maintain appropriate supplies
• Support the wider Food & Beverage team during busy service periods
• Assist with conferences, functions and special events when required
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards

Required profile

• Previous barista experience in a café, restaurant, hotel or similar environment
• A genuine passion for coffee and hospitality
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a natural ability to connect with guests
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality beverages
• Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
• Team-focused attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Availability to work a flexible part-time roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
