Part-Time Aviation Protection Officer - Brisbane Airport

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is looking for part-time Aviation Protection Officers to join its team at Brisbane Airport. You will carry out additional aviation security checks while delivering a high standard of customer service in a busy airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct additional security screening of passengers when required
• Perform explosive trace detection testing
• Scan staff to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations
• Search passenger bags thoroughly to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations
• Patrol and monitor aircraft
• Check passports in line with aviation security procedures
• Provide a high standard of customer service to passengers and airport staff

Required profile

• Full Australian working rights
• Valid Queensland security licence
• Valid first aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain them)
• Ability to undergo and obtain an ASIC and pass a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing
• Comfortable working 4-5 hour shifts, with possible extension when required
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
