Palliative Care Registrar (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This fixed‑term, full‑time position runs until 31 January 2027 and is based at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga. The Palliative Care Registrar provides inpatient palliative care reviews and works within HammondCare’s mission to deliver high‑quality clinical care under the supervision of the Specialist‑in‑charge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑patient care to people admitted to the Palliative Care unit.
• Liaise with the multi‑disciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain professional standards in all activities.
• Implement a personal learning program in conjunction with a Specialist Supervisor.
• Participate in after‑hours care of palliative care inpatients.

Required profile

• Unrestricted NSW Medical Board registration (or eligibility).
• Primary medical degree with at least two years of supervised RMO practice.
• Experience in Palliative Medicine or a related specialty.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current driver’s licence and strong communication skills.
