Paediatric Speech Pathologist

About the role

Kids Speech Co. is looking for paediatric speech pathologists to join its team in Gymea, Sutherland Shire. The practice welcomes clinicians at all career stages, from early-career speech pathologists to experienced practitioners. The role is full-time or part-time, clinic-based with optional community visits and telehealth, and includes weekly formal clinical supervision, mentoring and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support children with a range of communication needs, working with families and other professionals to develop individualised therapy plans.
• Deliver evidence-based intervention and build relationships with children and caregivers.
• Monitor progress and complete clinical notes, reports and other documentation.
• Manage appointments, caseload and communication with others, and maintain an organised clinic environment.
• Collaborate with educators and other professionals where appropriate.

Required profile

• A recognised speech pathology qualification and SPA membership (or eligibility).
• Paediatric clinical experience; applications welcome from new graduates and early-career clinicians.
• An interest in speech, language, fluency and literacy; interest or experience in paediatric feeding, orofacial myology or AAC is a bonus.
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills, able to work independently and seek support when needed.
• Reflective, willing to learn and collaborate, and committed to neuroaffirming, family-centred, evidence-informed practice.
• Current NSW driver's licence and car, and Working with Children Check for paid employment.
