Oracle Technical Lead & Architect

About the role

DXC is seeking a Technical Lead and Architect for its Oracle Practice to drive complex infrastructure, database and cloud migration engagements, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves guiding architecture, delivering solutions, and building strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture, solution design and delivery for complex infrastructure, database and cloud projects.
• Oversee technical quality, governance and deliverables across projects and work packages.
• Partner with Project Managers on scope, estimates, schedules and delivery planning.
• Coach and mentor technical team members and coordinate with vendors and third parties.
• Build trusted customer relationships, lead workshops on‑site and remotely, and support pre‑sales activities.

Required profile

• 15+ years of industry experience, including at least two years in pre‑sales or consulting.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex engagements within customer constraints.
• Strong customer‑facing communication, presentation, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Experience producing technical design documents and translating business requirements into practical technology solutions.

Required skills

• Oracle databases, Engineered Systems, Exadata, Oracle Database Appliance (ODA).
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture and design.
• Migrating Oracle databases and middleware (WebLogic, SOA, Fusion Middleware) to OCI.
• Mainframe‑to‑OCI migrations, including application and data migration, re‑platforming and modernisation.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Exadata Cloud at Customer or PaaS environments.
