Oracle Database Administrator – Sydney

About the role

Infosys is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to lead a team of 8‑10 DBAs in Sydney. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance and recoverability of Oracle and Exadata environments for a key customer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Oracle database and Exadata operations, including RAC and Data Guard configurations.
• Monitor Exadata cell/storage, OEM alerts and manage RMAN backup coordination.
• Oversee incident, change, problem, service request, release and maintenance activities following ITIL processes.
• Drive SQL performance tuning, capacity planning, space management and housekeeping initiatives.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, storage and backup teams, and mentor junior DBAs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DBA teams in a complex, multi‑culture environment.
• Strong understanding of Oracle RAC, Data Guard and Exadata architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise with OEM, RMAN, patch management and ITIL‑based service delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
