Operations Supervisor

About the role

BlueScope Distribution is seeking an Operations Supervisor for its Hobart warehouse. In this hands‑on position you will lead a team of experienced warehouse staff, ensuring that products are delivered safely and on time while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations to meet delivery schedules.
• Support and coach team members on the shop floor with their tasks and targets.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce risk.
• Maintain and continuously improve safety standards, championing change when hazards are identified.
• Mentor and develop staff to build a high‑performing, growth‑focused team.

Required profile

• Proven ability to motivate and build high‑performing teams.
• Experience in operations, warehousing or logistics environments.
• Current or willingness to obtain an LF class High Risk Work Licence.
• Capability to translate business objectives into clear actions for the team.
• Commitment to personal and team safety and wellbeing.
