Occupational Therapist - St. Giles

About the role

St. Giles is growing its Allied Health service and is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role provides clinical care, advice and education to Tasmanians living with disability, within a team-first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical care, advice and education in line with clinical guidelines and evidence relevant to each participant's condition and needs.
• Evaluate participant management regularly and adjust plans to improve effectiveness, efficiency and quality.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to set common goals and deliver integrated, high-quality care.
• Communicate clearly with participants and families so their needs and views are included in care plans and actions.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• AHPRA registration, or willingness to obtain it.
• Willingness to travel intrastate to deliver services elsewhere and to work occasionally outside normal hours.
• Current driver's licence and a National Police Check (no older than 3 months).
• Current or ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Card / NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NDIS and participant- and family-centred practice is desirable.
