Obstetrician & Gynaecology Consultant – Regional NSW Hospital

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a leading regional referral hospital in Armidale, NSW. The role offers a blend of high‑volume clinical work in a state‑of‑the‑art facility and the chance to influence service development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecology care to a high‑volume patient base, including approximately 1,300 births per year.
• Participate in emergency presentations (≈35,000 annually) and surgical procedures (≈9,500 per year).
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and statewide referral networks.
• Mentor junior clinicians and support research and service innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or RANZCOG Advanced Trainee within six months of fellowship.
• International Medical Graduates must be assessed by RANZCOG as substantially comparable and eligible for specialist pathway assessment.
