Nursing Teacher – Brisbane campuses

About the role

TAFE Queensland is seeking experienced nursing professionals to join our teaching team across multiple Brisbane campuses. You will guide enrolment nursing students through classroom theory, hands‑on clinical practice and industry placements, preparing them for successful careers in a high‑demand health sector.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accredited nursing curriculum to Semester 2, 2026 and Semester 1, 2027 cohorts.
• Facilitate practical labs, simulation exercises and clinical placement supervision.
• Assess student performance against vocational competency standards.
• Collaborate with the Educational Team Leader and industry partners to maintain curriculum relevance.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students throughout their studies.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum five years of professional nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or equivalent.

Required skills

• Ability to teach and assess vocational nursing competencies.
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills.
• Effective communication and classroom management.

What we offer

• Salary range $105,218.10 – $116,332.13 per annum plus superannuation.
• Casual hourly rate of $115.32 plus superannuation.
• Four weeks of recreation leave (pro‑rated for part‑time).
• Five weeks of non‑attendance time for preparation (pro‑rated).
