Night Duty Manager - Public Housing Security

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to oversee nightly operations across Public Housing sites. You will ensure the operational effectiveness of the on-site security team while building and maintaining relationships with your team and stakeholders. The role is hands-on and on-site, with a company vehicle provided during working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of Security Officers across multiple sites
• Foster a safe working environment for contractor staff and the housing community
• Collect and report data promptly, and perform routine site visits
• Keep personnel files up to date, including certifications and licences, and make them available for audit
• Monitor and review KPI performance against contractual expectations, and audit site patrols and compliance
• Manage physical site security and investigate and report security incidents
• Supervise, train, brief and counsel staff, and develop and deliver required training programs
• Provide backup or relief for Security Officers when needed

Required profile

• Current Victorian Security License with Control Room Endorsement
• Full Australian working rights
• WWCC or willingness to obtain one
• Certificate IV in Security Management highly desirable
• Prior experience managing staff in complex environments
• Ability to resolve conflicts and manage risk
• Well organised, able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision
