About the role

The Network Development Manager for the GCNA Border Network will lead a team responsible for planning, delivering, and operating Amazon's global Internet and border‑network connectivity. This senior position drives operational excellence, automation, and capacity planning for AWS customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of network development engineers and collaborate with partner teams to design and implement border‑network solutions.
• Ensure safe, scalable deployment of network designs, change control, and automation across the global AWS infrastructure.
• Drive operational excellence through metrics, dashboards, and process optimization for Internet capacity and performance.
• Own strategic goal setting, resource alignment, and status communication to senior leadership.
• Manage performance, career development, and 12x7 on‑call escalation rotation for the team.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering mission‑critical network services.
• Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills to resolve complex operational issues.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
