About the role

The Northern Peninsula Area State College is seeking qualified teachers for a range of permanent and temporary positions across primary and secondary year levels. These roles are based in remote communities on the tip of Cape York Peninsula, offering a unique cultural experience and the chance to make a lasting impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum for assigned year levels (Prep to Year 12).
• Support the academic and personal development of students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborate with fellow staff, TAFE partners and community members to enhance learning outcomes.
• Participate in school events, cultural celebrations and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with Department of Education policies.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (Bachelor of Education or equivalent).
• Full or provisional Queensland Corrective Teacher (QCT) registration.
• Australian working rights or a valid visa.
• Willingness to live and work in a remote, community‑focused environment.
• Pre‑service and graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.
