Motel Manager / Management Couple - Coffs Harbour

About the role

MLKA Hospitality Recruitment is seeking an experienced Motel Manager or a Management Couple to run a small, established accommodation property in Coffs Harbour, NSW. The role is hands-on, covering front office operations, rooms division, housekeeping, revenue management and general property oversight, with a coastal lifestyle close to beaches, cafes and restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the accommodation property, including front office and rooms division operations
• Manage housekeeping and revenue management
• Provide general property oversight and maintenance
• For a management couple, the second person works about 10-20 hours per week on a casual/part-time basis, ideally with practical maintenance skills, gardening and grounds maintenance

Required profile

• Previous motel, serviced apartment or accommodation management experience
• Strong front office and rooms division experience
• Knowledge of housekeeping and revenue management
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Practical maintenance and handyman abilities
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine passion for guest service
• Experienced Front Office Managers or Duty Managers ready for a broader management position are also considered

What we offer

• Single manager: $80,000-$85,000 plus superannuation
• Management couple: $110,000-$115,000 combined plus superannuation, with 10-20 hours per week for the second person
• Two-bedroom, self-contained on-site manager's apartment
• Incentive bonus
