Modelling & Simulation Engineer

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Modelling & Simulation Engineer to provide specialist advice for the LAND 6504 capability solution. The role involves analysing technical and operational data, developing simulation requirements, and supporting acquisition decisions for defence systems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify capability systems, sub‑systems, operational functions and performance measures for LAND 6504.
• Collect and analyse technical, operational and simulation data from Defence, industry, OEM and FMS stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain modelling and simulation requirements supporting capability assessment and acquisition activities.
• Conduct threat, engagement and operational simulations to assess capability effectiveness under representative conditions.
• Lead trade studies, risk analyses and comparative capability assessments across candidate solutions.
• Present modelling outcomes, assumptions, findings and recommendations to Defence stakeholders and governance forums.

Required profile

• Minimum NV1 security clearance (NV2 preferred) and ability to obtain NV2.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Defence and complex acquisition projects.
• Willingness to work onsite at Brindabella Business Park five days per week.
