Modelling & Simulation Engineer

About the role

The Modelling & Simulation Engineer will provide specialist advice across modelling, simulation, capability analysis and acquisition decision support for the LAND 6504 capability solution. You will work onsite at Brindabella Business Park, collaborating with Defence, industry and OEM stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify capability systems, sub‑systems, operational functions and performance measures within the LAND 6504 solution.
• Collect and analyse technical, operational and simulation data from Defence, industry, OEM and FMS stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain modelling and simulation requirements supporting capability assessment and acquisition activities.
• Conduct threat, engagement and operational simulations to assess capability effectiveness under representative conditions.
• Lead trade studies and comparative capability assessments across alternative solutions, architectures and acquisition approaches.
• Present modelling outcomes, assumptions, findings and recommendations to Defence stakeholders and governance forums.

Required profile

• Minimum NV1 security clearance with ability to obtain NV2 (NV2 preferred).
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Defence and complex acquisition projects.
• Willingness to work onsite five days per week at Brindabella Business Park.
